
 Raiffeisenbank is launching a new service for its clients – “SMS transfer confirmation code”, which is an additional security for online payments to third parties, as of 01.03.2010. This service is a temporary valid code sent via SMS to a nominated mobile phone to be used once for confirmation of a concrete payment / group of payments. Who is this service intended for? The “SMS transfer confirmation code” is a service intended for all present and future users of Raiffeisen Online who use online banking for transfers and have a valid mobile number as subscribers of any Bulgarian mobile operator. All customers of Raiffeisenbank may register for this service at any branch office of Raiffeisenbank by filling in an application for use of an SMS transfer confirmation code, provided that they have active online banking. How are the payments with “SMS transfer confirmation code” made? When a payment is sent through Raiffeisen Online, the client receives via SMS message to the mobile number specified in the registration form for the service a code for one-off confirmation of the selected transfer / group of transfers. For additional security, the code is to be entered to confirm the transaction after the SMS data regarding the ordered payment are compared with the transaction details entered in the computer. Registration for the service and receipt of the SMS message are totally free of charge. Together with the guaranteed security of payments, the client saves also on banking transaction costs since the fees for transfers ordered through Raiffeisen Online are significantly lower than those for payments made at the bank branches.
